Dr. Robert "Skip" Bayles
Senior Pastor

Skip is a graduate of Duke University and holds a Doctorate from Fuller Seminary.
He is a native of Kansas City but has lived in several places around the world.
He has pastored inner city as well as suburban churches. Most recently he and his
family served with MTW in Europe. He and his wife Amy have three children: Mallory,
Kelly, and Colson. His favorite pastimes include enjoying God, reading, running,
coaching, and spending time with his family, as well as rooting for his three favorite
basketball teams: Duke, Kansas, and anyone who plays the University of North Carolina
at Chapel Hill. |

Geofrey Kigenyi

Geofrey is a graduate of Avila University, where he received a Masters in Organizational
Development. He originally hails from Kampala, Uganda, but has lived in the United
States for over 8 years. Geofrey has pastored a church in rural Kansas, helped start
an outreach ministry in Uganda, done inner city ministry in Hartford, Connecticut,
and most recently spent almost 5 years working with Habitat for Humanity in Kansas
City. He and his beautiful wife Justine have two children: Ethan and Erin. Geofrey enjoys spending
time with his family, playing guitar, connecting with people, and catching up on
global news.

Brett Daane

Brett serves part time at Woodland Ridge and also as an elementary school custodian. He grew up in Wisconsin and has interned at churches around the country. He holds a Bachelors in Theology from Moody Bible Institute and a Masters in Biblical Exegesis
from Wheaton Graduate School, and he has studied at Westminster Seminary
in
California. Brett enjoys congregational care as well as preaching
and teaching the Scriptures. He likes studying biblical covenants, the relationship
between law and grace, and how God's grace transforms our lives. Brett
and his wife Grace have four children: Peter, Ariel, Ana, and Noah. He enjoys spending time
with his family, reading, exercising, and traveling.

Christopher Lemmon
Pastoral Intern for Youth and The Oasis

Chris has a Bible Theology degree from Wheaton College in Illinois and will graduate
in 2012 with a Masters of Divinity from Covenant Theological Seminary in St. Louis.
He grew up nearby in Lawrence and enjoys watching KU basketball. Chris enjoys jogging
when the weather permits and occasionally playing soccer for fun. Prior to coming
to WRPC for the summer of 2011, he was a volunteer youth leader at New City Fellowship
in St. Louis. During his time at WRPC, Chris has enjoyed helping with ESL and teaching
theology to the youth during Sunday School. Chris has an interest in the doctrine
of reconciliation and in understanding how to build a multicultural church.

Dani is a native of Kansas City. A gifted vocalist and leader, Dani brings an inspired
vitality to the worship services at WRPC. In addition to her love for music, she
enjoys being outdoors, gardening, homeschooling, and spending time with her family.
She and her husband Shane have three children: Eli, Willow, and Silas.

Andrea is married to a wonderful husband (and elder), Mark, and they have three
children: Trevor, Anna Claire, and Nathaniel. She enjoys reading, walking, attending
her children’s activities, homeschooling, and spending quiet mornings with the Lord.
Andrea brings organization, fun, and love to the Children’s Ministry at WRPC.

Peter Griffith

Contact Peter
Peter received his bachelor and law degrees from the University of Kansas. He is
an attorney at the KU Medical Center campus. He serves Woodland Ridge as a driver,
nursery worker, usher, and clerk of the church session. He’s also clerk of the Heartland
Presbytery of the PCA. He enjoys hearing and studying God’s Word and celebrating
the truths of the Reformation. He also enjoys many types of music, such as classic
country, folk, bluegrass, and Americana, as well as jazz, classical instrumental,
choral, chamber, and vocal. Peter and his wife Danielle are Kansas City natives;
they have one daughter, Elizabeth.

Dennis Hanners

A life-long resident of the KC area, Dennis came to the redeeming knowledge of Christ
and married his wonderful wife Barb in 1972. Dennis and Barb have 2 daughters, 1
son, and 6 grandchildren. Having served in the military (1969-1971), Dennis has
also served with Pointman Ministries, an outreach to Vietnam veterans and families,
in the 1990s. He and Barb have been members of Woodland Ridge for 10 years. Retired
from a major trucking firm, Dennis now enjoys his job as a security officer at Olathe
Northwest High School. Dennis also enjoys traveling with his wife, attending men’s
bible studies and discipleship groups, hiking with his grandchildren, and attending
their sporting events.

Tom McKernan

Tom McKernan is a banker by trade with 32 years of experience in Financial Derivatives.
He works in the Capital Markets Group at Country Club Bank in Kansas City. He loves
to play the violin, photograph prairie landscapes, and play golf. Most importantly,
he loves to study scripture. He enjoys being involved in all aspects of the church.

Scott Shoemaker

Scott has been an elder in the PCA since 1990. He enjoys teaching and helping people
grow and mature in their Christian walk. He and his wife, Glenda, have been married
for 25 years and have 3 children: Brock, Paige and Leah. Scott and Glenda met when
they were teachers on the Navajo Indian reservation and enjoy meeting and ministering
with people from other cultures. Scott has traveled extensively, including short-term
missions trips to Uganda, Japan, the Middle East, and India. By vocation, Scott
is an IT consultant but works hard to disprove the stereotypes associated with being
a "computer geek".

Dave Eland

Contact Dave
Dave grew up in a small town in western Kansas. A graduate of KU's School of Engineering,
Dave met and married his wonderful wife Allene in Lawrence, and they have lived
in Lenexa since 1989. They have four children: Korab, Cherys, Noah, and Noelle.
As the father of a child with severe autism, Dave has learned compassion for families
struggling through any type of hardship. Dave enjoys a growing friendship with God,
road trips with his family, reading, writing, mentoring, and KU Basektball. At Woodland
Ridge, two of the acitivities he especially enjoys are giving driving lessons to
new immigrants and helping to administer the Deacons' Fund Mercy Ministry.
